We as a private estate are extremely fortunate to have our very own Community Hall. This purpose-built venue is designed with flexibility in mind, making it suitable for a great many types of events from wedding receptions, funeral receptions, corporate dinners, conference meetings, parties and a great many more.

 

Our hall is available all year and seats up to 60 guests with a maximum capacity of 99. It not only benefits from its own private car park with stunning views of Studd Hill but also offers a separate reception and dance area as well as a high level of lighting and music production.

We can assist with most things, buffets etc and also contacts for local florists, musicians, DJ’s for adults and children.

 

On your special day your venue manager will ensure all proceedings run in perfect order.

 

Children’s birthday parties are a very popular at weekends, we can arrange most activities for you.

 

Clubs and other Organisations are very welcome.

 

Over the last year we have had dance groups to amateur dramatics, quiz clubs and music groups.

 

 

 

 

Over the last year we have updated numerous Health and Safety aspect’s to the hall which have been a requirement. This includes a full Risk Assessment on every activity that takes place. A full Fire and Emergency Evacuation Plan and a new music and lighting system to bring the hall facilities up to date and be potentially more attractive to hire. This will be fitted by December 2013 . To fulfill the requirements that would potentially reduce our insurance premiums we do require CCTV. We have had some quotes and it will be our aim to fulfill this within 1 year. We also need to purchase new tables, these do not have to be brand new, but must be more suitable for our need’s . The tables we have at the present are extremely old, worn and some are beyond repair/un-hygienic.

 

I requested a visit from a Fire Officer at the local Fire Station. Recommendations were made that if the kitchen is to only be used once a week then it is adequate but under the breakfast bar will need to be blocked in for the safety of children gaining access to the kitchen area and a physical barrier/gate should be installed between the bar and counter top to prevent this. If however a mother and toddler group is set up they this becomes an urgent requirement. For fire safety, if the kitchen is used more then once a week/regular basis then we should partition off the kitchen area and fit a fire door. The Fire Officer stated that this could become a requirement by the insurance company especially with hiring out the hall and it would be in our interest to act on it now before it becomes a problem.
